A picture of quality: Mackoy Photo of The Month

We’re sticklers when it comes to quality at Mackoy. We regularly visit the sites we work on to make sure standards are up to scratch. And that’s on top of the weekly inspections conducted by our SHEQ team David Bacon and Matt Murray.

Even if the work we do is ultimately hidden underground we’re no less committed to delivering a first-class service. So when we’re on site to do a job we want it done 100% well. With no compromising on quality and definitely no corners cut. That’s why our clients hire us after all.

In fact, we want the Mackoy brand name to be synonymous with quality in the civil engineering and groundworks sector. So when a homebuilder hires us for a job they know the attention to detail, and the expert craftsmanship, will be top notch. The same goes for our site conduct too. Mackoy groundworkers are the day-to-day face of the brand. So it’s imperative that we act professionally and appropriately when were on one of our client’s builds.

We know we have some great people in our crew who are a shining example of the quality we expect from our team. Which is why we introduced our ‘Site’ and ‘Site Manager’ of The Month Awards earlier this year. Because we really do notice and appreciate all of the hard work our guys put in. In a similar vein, we’ve decided to launch a monthly photo competition. With a £100 prize up for grabs for the winning picture each month. We want photographs that showcase the quality work were doing on site, work we feel proud to have achieved and that lives up to the spec and finish we expect at Mackoy.

Our latest incentive and initiative to our Mackoy team:

‘This is your chance to show us what you’re made of – and secure yourself a £100 cash prize in the process. They don’t have to be David Bailey quality. There are no prizes for composition or the best Instagram filter. We’re only interested in seeing the top quality craftsmanship of the work itself. So don’t worry about bringing your SLR to work. A quick pic taken on your camera phone will do. And it’s not just external finished works we want to see, but roads, sewers and any other examples of quality workmanship at the hands of our team. Once you’ve got your shot send it to us at quality@mackoy.co.uk. We’ll review all the entries we receive and choose our overall winner each month. And if it’s too close to call, well we might just bend the rules and award more than one £100 prize anyway!’

Our ‘Photo of The Month’ and ‘Site Manager Awards’ are just two of the on-going initiatives we have at Mackoy to reward our team.

We also frequently organise days out for our Operatives include horse racing , golf and nights out…we also have clay shoots, karting and paintball booked later this year. With Our emphasis on quality and rewarding our guys, it’s no wonder we have increased our work force repeatedly every year for the last 7 years.
