Mackoy secures another contract with Bargate Homes. This time, the groundworks specialists are implementing a groundworks infrastructure on Allington Lane, Fair Oak, Hampshire, known as Archers Wood.

About the Allington Lane, Fair Oak Groundworks Contract

We’re very pleased to share that we have secured a £2.5million contract with Bargate Homes as part of their Archers Wood development in Fair Oak, Eastleigh.

Starting in June 2019, we’ll be on site for 12 months, with our groundworks operatives working on all off-site 278 and sewer connection, an attenuation basin, site sewers and roads, and all site-piled foundations, drainage and associated plot works for the 49 units.

The development is set to be a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes designed and built to the highest specification in trademark Bargate Homes style, matching the local rural settings, complete with painted timber porches and feature windows.

We enjoy working with return clients, and this is our second Bargate project this year, as well as being the second site we’re working on in Fair Oak. Big thanks to Bargate and to all the guys who are already on site getting things off the ground.

About the Area

Fair Oak is a large semi-rural village on the outskirts of Eastleigh, near Southampton, with the M27, M3, Southampton Airport Parkway and Eastleigh Train Station just few minutes away.

With plenty of things to do in Fair Oak, it’s a great place to live; including: Knowle Park and Garden, the Itchen Navigation, Cranbury Park and Otterbourne Hill Reservoir. As well as a local high street with shops, cafes and a cinema, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
