Like Mackoy, Highwood is privately owned, with each of the company's founding directors responsible for driving specific key areas in the business. This includes identifying and acquiring the perfect development sites, and the planning and delivery of each unique new scheme. Since its founding in 1987, Highwood has cultivated an impressive portfolio comprising care homes, inner city regeneration projects and residential real estate development.
In 2017, we began one of our most ambitious projects with the Highwood Group to date: transforming an ancient 120-acre deer park into a thriving new community within Eastleigh, Hampshire. Before development was even a quarter of the way through, the project was awarded ‘Development of the Year’ in the large residential category of the prestigious South Coast Property Awards 2018. This is just one of the many award-winning schemes Mackoy is proud to have had a hand in delivering.
