A £3m contract secured to deliver the groundworks for a 108-unit development for Dandara in Drayton, Portsmouth.

Installing the Groundworks in Portsmouth

Following on from the success of our Littlehampton site, we have secured another contract with Dandara Homes. This time, it’s a 108-unit site on a former dairy site in Drayton, Portsmouth, constructing all roads, sewers and foundations - with a strong emphasis on on-site material management.

This £3m+ contract will see Team Mackoy on the ground for two years with the scheme set to become a mix of two-bedroom flats and two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

Building a new Community in Portsmouth

Drayton is a residential area to the north east of Portsmouth island with easy-to-reach transport links to the A27, going east to Chichester and Brighton, and the M275 that leads to the M27, with Southampton and Winchester under a 45 minute drive.

Portsmouth is a popular area for residents and tourists alike with its maritime heritage, visitors flock to the island to explore the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, the National Museum of the Royal Navy, HMS Victory, the Mary Rose and more.

As well as its historic attractions, Portsmouth’s pennincular has beautiful beaches and two piers that run from Southsea, an area with an enormous amount of independent bars, restaurants and shops, right up to Eastney beach which gives views of Hayling Island. All of which, is just 20 minutes away from Drayton by car.
